Install JipJip on Android
Three short steps. JipJip is on Google Play; you create your account inside the app with an email and a password, and there is no payment inside the app.
Before you start
- A 64-bit Android phone on Android 7.0 or newer (most phones from ~2017 on).
- The Google Play Store on your phone.
- An email address to create your account — or your existing JipJip email and password.
1. Install from Google Play
- Open JipJip on Google Play, tap Install, then Open.
- If you installed JipJip from our website before and Google Play won’t install over it, uninstall that copy first, then install from Google Play. Other VPN apps on your phone are separate and don’t need removing.
2. Allow the VPN permission
- Open JipJip. The first time you tap to connect, Android asks “Allow JipJip VPN to set up a VPN connection?” — tap Allow.
- Allow the notification too, so you can see the connection status.
3. Sign in & connect
- Tap the button at the top left of Home → Sign in with your email + password, or Sign up to create an account.
- On Home, Auto Recommended picks a server for you. Tap to connect and wait for Connected.
- Open any website to confirm it works.
- To stop, tap again — your normal internet returns right away.
Troubleshooting
- “Your network may be blocking secure connections” — that’s your mobile network at that moment, not the app. Switch to Wi-Fi or another SIM and try again.
- It won’t connect yet — the app shows the reason (sign in / loading servers / no servers). Follow what it says, or open the server list and tap Refresh servers.
- Internet doesn’t come back after you disconnect — reopen the app and tap to disconnect again; then contact support.
- Take a screenshot of the app and send it to support with a short description — never your password.
Supported devices
- Tested: 64-bit Android phones on Android 7.0 or newer — this is what we install and connect on before every release.
- Not supported: Android 6.0 or older. The app requires Android 7.0.
- 32-bit phones — untested. The app contains the 32-bit ARM (armeabi-v7a) build of the VPN core, so it may well work, but we have not run it on a 32-bit phone and will not claim that it does.
- No iOS yet.
If it won’t install
- Google Play says your device isn’t compatible — usually the phone is below Android 7.0; use a newer phone.
- A JipJip from our website is already installed — uninstall it first, then install from Google Play.
- Not enough space — free some space and try again.
- If it still fails, email support your phone model + Android version and a screenshot — never your password.
An install problem is a device/compatibility issue, not a VPN failure. Please send your phone model and Android version so we can help.
