Account deletion
Delete your JipJip account
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app. This page explains how, and exactly what is removed — including the one thing that is not.
In the app (fastest)
- Open JipJip and sign in.
- Open the menu (top-left) → Settings.
- Under ACCOUNT, tap Delete account.
- Confirm with your password. Deletion happens immediately.
Your password is asked for because deletion cannot be undone — a phone someone else is holding should not be enough to destroy your account.
By email
If you can no longer sign in — a lost password, a phone you no longer have — email [email protected] from the email address the account uses, with the subject Delete my account.
Sending from the account's own address is how we confirm the request is really yours. We will not ask you for your password, and we will never ask for a card number, PIN or OTP — we do not hold any of those. Requests are actioned within 30 days, usually far sooner.
What is deleted
- Your email address and your password.
- Your access level and its period.
- Your registered devices and their identifiers.
- Your VPN sessions and any live connection credentials.
- Your redacted reliability reports (connection results, masked exit IPs).
You are signed out on every device, and the account can no longer be used to sign in.
What is kept, and why
If you ever paid for JipJip access, the record of that payment is kept — the amount, the currency, the date and its status — with your name removed.
We keep the amounts because a UK company has to be able to produce its financial records. We are telling you this rather than claiming everything disappears, because that claim would not be true.
Can it be undone?
No. Deletion is permanent. If you want to use JipJip again afterwards you can create a new account with the same email address, but nothing from the old one comes back — not your access level, not your remaining data allowance, not your devices.
If you paid for access
JipJip is a free download and there is no purchase inside the app. If you arranged paid access separately, deleting your JipJip account does not end that arrangement, and we cannot end it for you from here — settle it wherever you arranged it, before deleting.
